Wedding Band Meath – Venues We Know
Meath is a county we return to regularly for weddings, with Tankardstown House, Ballymagarvey Village and Clonabreany House among the venues we’ve played repeatedly in recent years.
Our Meath wedding experience takes us from country houses and private estates to hotels in places including Kilmessan, Trim, Slane, Navan, Dunboyne and Enfield. The venues below are all places where Flog the Dog have performed. If you’re planning your wedding at one of them, we can talk through your first dance, the live band and how you’d like the evening to finish.
Based in Co. Wicklow, with our roots in Kerry, Flog the Dog perform weddings across Ireland, with regular weddings throughout Leinster, Munster and beyond. Our sound brings together live fiddle, Irish trad, country and jive, and modern dance-floor favourites, with the music shaped around the couple and their guests.
Wedding Venues We’ve Played in Meath
-
Tankardstown House
Tankardstown House is one of the Meath venues we’ve returned to repeatedly for weddings. The country-house setting near Slane includes the Orangery, where wedding dining takes place. Those repeat bookings give us a real connection with the venue when couples come to us to plan their evening’s entertainment.
-
Ballymagarvey Village
Ballymagarvey Village appears regularly in our recent wedding calendar. Set in Balrath, it brings together a historic manor house and a dedicated banqueting hall. We’ve performed here on repeat visits, so it is one of the Meath venues we can discuss with couples from having played there ourselves.
-
Clonabreany House
We’ve played Clonabreany House repeatedly in recent years. This private country estate near Kells combines a Georgian house and courtyard with a Grand Marquee for celebrations. It is one of the marquee wedding settings in our Meath playing history, alongside the county’s hotels and country-house venues.
-
The Station House Hotel, Kilmessan
The Station House Hotel in Kilmessan is among the Meath venues where we’ve performed. Its railway history gives it a distinct identity: the Carriage Suite occupies a former locomotive workshop. If you’re planning your reception here, we can talk through first-dance choices and the balance between live music and optional DJ entertainment.
-
Trim Castle Hotel
We’ve played weddings at Trim Castle Hotel, in the town overlooking Trim Castle. It offers a hotel wedding setting in the heart of the Boyne Valley. For a wedding here, we can help you plan the musical side of the evening, from your first dance to the songs you want your guests joining in with.
-
Boyne Hill House
Boyne Hill House is a private country estate near Navan, with gardens and parkland overlooking the River Boyne. We’ve performed at weddings here, adding another estate venue to our Meath experience. For couples planning a celebration on private grounds, it is a place on this list where we have genuine playing history.
-
Dunboyne Castle Hotel
Dunboyne Castle Hotel combines a Georgian house and estate gardens with contemporary hotel accommodation, close to Dublin. We’ve played weddings here as part of our work across Meath. Couples choosing the venue can speak to us about a live band set that brings together Irish trad, fiddle and modern party favourites.
-
The Millhouse, Slane
We’ve performed at The Millhouse in Slane, a private wedding estate beside the River Boyne. Its Georgian house and old mill buildings give it a different setting from a conventional hotel. If you’re celebrating here, we can discuss whether a live or recorded first dance would suit your chosen song before the main band set.
-
Ardboyne Hotel, Navan
We’ve played weddings at the Ardboyne Hotel in Navan, where the ballroom is a setting for wedding receptions. The hotel also offers packages that include entertainment, so check what your chosen package covers before arranging a separate band or DJ. That helps keep your evening plans and booking arrangements clear.
-
The Johnstown Estate, Enfield
The Johnstown Estate in Enfield is another venue on our Meath playing list. Its wedding spaces include a ballroom, an orangery and gardens. When enquiring with us, let us know which parts of the evening you want covered so we can discuss the band, first dance and optional DJ together.
