Everything you need to know
We typically arrive 90 minutes before our scheduled start time. This gives us plenty of time to load in, set up our full PA and lighting rig, and soundcheck without any guests noticing. For a 9:30 PM first dance, we'd aim to be on site by 8:00 PM.
Full setup takes approximately 60-75 minutes. This includes PA speakers, lighting rig, backline, and a full soundcheck. We always allow extra buffer time so there's no stress if access is tricky.
We recommend scheduling your first dance about 30-45 minutes after dinner finishes. This gives guests time to get drinks and gather on the dance floor. Ideally between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM for maximum atmosphere.
Absolutely! While we can't guarantee every request (some songs just don't work with our setup), we love reading the room and taking requests that fit the vibe. That's why your music preferences are so helpful — they give us a great steer.
Yes — within reason! If your chosen song works with our instrumentation (guitars, bass, drums, keys, vocals), we're happy to learn it. We need at least 4 weeks notice for new songs. If it's something really unusual, we might suggest our acoustic-style version instead.
Our standard package is 2 hours of live music, typically split into two 60-minute sets or three 40-minute sets. We can extend this with our DJ & Sax package to keep the party going until close.
If there's a late-night buffet, we usually take a short break while guests eat. Our DJ plays background music during this time, then we ramp things back up when everyone's ready to dance again.
We need: adequate power supply (minimum 2 x 13A sockets), a flat performance area roughly 5m x 3m, and reasonable access for loading equipment. We bring everything else — PA, lights, mics, the lot.
